MYAC will host 2 concerts for “Jazz in January” series. The first is a Jazz Combo concert on January 24th, 2026 at MYAC Center in Highwood. The second is at Ravinia on January 25. The guest artist in residence is bassist and vocalist Katie Ernst. The event is sponsored by WDCB.

Fall Concerts (All Ensembles)
MYAC's Fall Concerts feature all of our ensembles. Thus all three concerts will include performances by our orchestras, choral ensembles and jazz big bands.
The 6:30 p.m. concert will feature our Concert Jazz Band, VocalPoint choir, and Symphony Orchestra. Program includes:
• Dmitri Shostakovich, Symphony No. 10 in e Minor, Op. 93.
• Stacy Garrop, Krakatoa, movement II, with soloist Callia Murray, winner of the 2024 O'Malley National Chamber Music Competition, MYAC division.
• The VocalPoint choir will perform “Daemon Irrepit Callidus” by Gyorgy Orban, “Dolly Waits” by Ryan Main, and “Everywhere That You Are" from the musical James and the Giant Peach, music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Music at the Fort featuring Katarina String Quartet

Chicago Jazz Festival
Jazz students from MYAC will perform at the 2025 Chicago Jazz Festival in Millennium Park! It’s a free event featuring jazz legends from around the world!
Jazz by the Lake
Jazz musicians from MYAC will perform Big Band Jazz at Lake Geneva’s Flat Iron Park on July 19. The event is free, rain or shine, and in partnership with Lake Geneva Community Foundation.
