MYAC Family Volunteers

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory was built by parent volunteers from its very beginnings when parents asked Founder and Director Allan Dennis to work with their children. Parent volunteers secured rehearsal space and concert venues, obtained printing for concert programs, and spread the word about our first programs and performances in local newspapers. Parent volunteers were responsible for every aspect of the negotiations and move into the MYAC Center at Fort Sheridan in Highwood. The wide range of music ensembles, concerts, competitions, and festivals we provide would not be possible without the support of the hundreds of parent volunteers who assist us each year.

To continue this tradition, we require each family to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours per year per child with MYAC or donate $100. This commitment may be spread across various activities and events. Many opportunities are available.  Thank you for believing in the mission of MYAC and carrying on this tradition! We are so very grateful for your involvement.
