Choral Audition Requirements

Auditions for the 2026-2027 season will begin in March and continue through May. Registration forms will be posted on this page in early 2026. Stay tuned – we can’t wait to hear from you.

Maestros (non-audition)

The Maestros Program provides a nurturing environment that fosters creative growth and musical development for 1st-4th grade students. Through singing activities and various children's choir repertoire, students will begin learning how to read music and develop healthy singing techniques. Students will also learn how to apply their skills to performing in a group setting and experience the joy and camaraderie of participating in a choral ensemble.

Kindergartners are accepted on a per case basis - email mya@mya.org if your kindergartner would like to join us!

Voices Rising 

  • Prepare one piece of your choosing. Please bring music with you.

  • Be prepared to be led through musical exercises to assess range and tonal memory.

VocalPoint

  • Prepare two contrasting pieces of your choosing. Please bring music with you.

  • Be prepared to be led through musical exercises to assess range and tonal memory. Sight reading may also be included.
