O'Malley Foundation Takes the Lead in Sponsoring the National Concerto Competition

We are thrilled to announce that the O'Malley Foundation has become the new sponsor of our National Concerto Competition, which will now be known as the O'Malley Foundation National Concerto Competition. This change reflects the Foundation's commitment to supporting the next generation of talented young musicians.

Dr. Allan Dennis, Founder and President of MYAC, stated excitedly: “Midwest Young Artists Conservatory is proud and honored to work with the O’Malley Foundation in continuing to offer the National Concerto Competition for talented and dedicated young musicians. All aspects of the O’Malley Concerto Competition will remain the same with the exception that we will only have a live, not virtual option. It will still be held at the MYAC Center in Highwood, Illinois on December 29 and 30 and will be awarding both monetary awards and performance opportunities for winners. For more information, please go to www.mya.org and click on “Events”, then “Competitions”.

Leo O’Malley, Board Member of the O’Malley Foundation and MYAC alumni, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating “The O’Malley Foundation is honored to support this national competition, which annually features the highest levels of musical excellence. The arts—from Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel to Bach and Mahler—represent humanity’s timeless quest to touch the Divine. As disillusionment increasingly mars our modern society, we remember the words of Leonard Bernstein: ‘This will be our reply… to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.’ To that end, the Foundation looks forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with MYAC on this event. We wish contestants the best of luck!”

The O'Malley Foundation National Concerto Competition will maintain the competitions reputation for excellence, featuring various categories and divisions to ensure a wide range of talented young musicians can participate. This year's event will be live only, offering participants an immersive and inspiring experience.

Let's come together to celebrate the talents of these young musicians and the continued success of this esteemed competition!
