Join us at the MYA Center at 7:00pm on April 18th for another installment of the Music at the Fort in Highwood Concert Series featuring an operatic performance of Mozart's Bastien and Bastienne. Don't miss this fantastic live music event, conveniently located in the Fort Sheridan neighborhood. Wine/juice, snacks, and admission are free of charge. 

Bastien und Bastienne was one of Mozart's earliest operas, written in 1768 when he was only twelve years old.  This performance is directed by CSO principal violist, Charles Pikler, with musicians chosen from MYA's top orchestra.  Soloists are Masha Lakisova, soprano, Bastienne, a shepardess; Joshua Hills, tenor, Bastien, her lover; and Frank Babbitt, Colas, Bass, a quack magician.
