Vocal Jazz Workshop

July 5 - July 8, 2017

About

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory is excited to introduce the first Vocal Jazz Workshop, designed for students 9th grade or older (entering Fall 2017) who wish to develop and improve their knowledge of the vocal jazz genre. Students will sing as part of a vocal jazz ensemble and as a soloist, learning about style, technique and interpretation. Students will also participate in daily improvisation workshops and guided listening sessions to provide a well-rounded understanding of the genre.

** This is a great opportunity for any students interested in auditioning for ILMEA Vocal Jazz, as we will be preparing one of the ILMEA audition pieces and improvising over the Bb Blues form.
