Chicago Trumpet Workshop
June 26 - June 30, 2017
Midwest Young Artists Conversatory is proud to present the Chicago Trumpet Workshop! Students can study and perform works from the rich canon of trumpet solo and ensemble repertoire, as well as transcriptions from some of Western Music's greatest masters. It's a great opportunity to work with some of Chicago-land's finest trumpet students and forge life-long friendships, all while studying in a beautiful facility, building new skills, and meeting amazing teachers!
The Chicago Trumpet Workshop takes place at the historic MYAC Center in Fort Sheridan at 878 Lyster Road, Highwood, IL. Students will attend daily warm-up sessions, coachings, performance classes, and private lessons by established faculty members.
All students must audition for the program. You may sign up for a live audition or you may submit a recording. Live and recorded auditions are equally reviewed by the faculty. For the audition, you should perform two solo works or etudes of contrasting styles. It is recommended that students audition with District level pieces.
